West Central Mountains Housing Trust
The Housing Trust is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining the West Central Mountains Region of Idaho, specifically Valley County and the Meadows Valley region of Adams County, community through the creation and preservation of affordable housing. Our volunteer board recognizes that affordable housing is the foundation of any community. As a “destination location” our community offers great four-season outdoor activities that include access to millions of acres of old-growth forests, both “big” and “small” Payette Lakes, Cascade Lake, two world class ski areas as well as numerous high mountain lakes and rivers.
The WCMHT was formed in 2016 as a tool to create affordable local housing for the workforce in the West Central Mountains. Our board of directors has been successful in creating 13 housing units to date with another 4 coming online in 2025. The mission is to create a sustainable pathway to continue to add units annually and provide housing to those working in our region.
The Housing Trust is a 501C3 non-profit that works with HUD and IHFA to find funding for housing construction and purchase and will work toward creating a donor base that will add to our mission. If you would like to become a donor and participate, please let us know.
